The Australian and New Zealand Journal of Art

The AAANZ publishes The Australian and New Zealand Journal of Art, Australia's premier DEST-accredited, art history journal.  The Journal is an A-rated peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing new scholarship in art history.  Distinguished by high-quality editorial and production values and a fully scholarly apparatus, the journal publishes up to ten essays each issue.  It also includes book reviews and reviews of exhibitions.

The journal is published in association with the Institute of Modern Art and is currently edited by a team of Queensland art historians: Rex Butler and Sally Butler (University of Queensland), Andrew McNamara and Mark Pennings (Queensland University of Technology), Rosemary Hawker (Queensland College of Art, Griffith University) and Robert Leonard (Institute of Modern Art).  Angela Goddard (Queensland Art Gallery) and Courtney Pedersen (Queensland University of Technology) are review editors.  Ben Wilson is editorial assistant.
